About Dr. Condey

Beyond my professional training, I bring in a breadth of experiences from my own life. I've dealt with many challenges, from chronic and life-threatening illnesses of family members, to parenting children into adulthood, to managing dynamics within both corporate and non-profit structures, to healing from personal losses on both the relationship and material planes. Over the years, I've found ways to utilize nature as a helpful healing element, both in my own life, and for those I work with professionally. As an extension of my appreciation of nature, I've developed a serious interest in photography, as reflected in the photos I've taken and included on this website.

I also have a long-standing, deep interest in, and respect for, other cultures, having traveled and lived extensively in Asia, Europe, South America, and other parts of our own country. I truly enjoy working within the diverse communities which the Bay Area embodies, and feel that I do have special talents in helping people to hear one another's inner languages.

I have worked with clients to improve their relationship skills and to take steps in improving their relationship or in taking steps to find a significant relationship. I have helped individuals, affiliation groups, and companies resolve conflicts and problems of many kinds, from communication issues to strategic and financial decisions. I also have a graduate degree in engineering, and spent several years as a software developer, so I feel very comfortable in working with clients with technical backgrounds.

In addition to my practice, I served as Executive Director of Rubicon Treatment Centers in Contra Costa County, which helps mentally disabled adults receive care and return to a fuller relationship to their community. In that capacity, I began two successful businesses that provide employment for clients and which continue to offer quality products to the community while helping these individuals become more fully-functioning members of their local communities. In acknowledgement of those efforts, I received special commendations from both the White House and the California State Assembly.

I have also spent many years training graduate students in the Bay Area, at JFK University for over 20 years, and currently in the doctoral program of the Wright Institute Psychology Program, Berkeley, CA.
